John “Jack” McGrath in Normandy

Answer:
Hello anon! This particular Easy Company was in the 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment of the 101st Airborne Division, but pretty much every regiment of every division would have had an Easy Company as it was a standard designation for all 5th companies. “E” was “Easy” in the old military phonetic alphabet, you see - it’s been changed to “Echo” since (sometime in the 1950s I think) so any E Companies existing today would probably be referred to as Echo Company rather than Easy.
Hope this answers your question! :)

Some of second platoon at Toccoa - you can just glimpse Winters (a platoon lieutenant at the time) in the back, glancing down, and Skip Muck is on the right (looking somewhat cheeky!).
